Five Instagram Profiles We Love
We are lucky.
We are lucky because Instagram is part of our workflow.
This means that when, as is often the case, we lose half an hour of our day to a period of extended perusing, it’s guilt-free.
We know not everyone is in the same position.
So we thought we'd try and save you time spent looking for great content by sharing a selection of profiles that we gravitate towards.
It’s a mixed bag, but we think you'll enjoy it all the same.
Scandinavian Homes
I don’t think we’d go as far as to say 670k people can’t be wrong, but we’d agree with the sentiment that the odds of that many opinions being misguided are very long indeed.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the half-a-million-plus followers of Swedish interior designers Scandinavian Homes are most certainly on the money here.
We find the process of scrolling through these images both relaxing and inspiring. Only the meanest of viewers would dare ask for more than that.
Every interior has a refined, edited feel that we love.
Don’t let that fool you into thinking these themes are clinical, though.
They’re actually inviting and look very comfortable indeed.
What we really appreciate, however, is how the same result is achieved using different furniture and furnishings.
Proof, if ever it was needed, that the best designers are not one-trick ponies and that there is more than one way to get the look you want.
Lovely stuff.

Mass Modern Design
If we’re being totally honest, this profile leaves us feeling a little green.
A 5000m2 industrial showroom filled with some staggeringly good mid century furniture is basically the stuff of our wildest dreams.
But this Dutch dealer appears to be living that dream and, well, sometimes you just have to stand back and admire.
If you are, like us, of a mid century bent, this is just a great place to spend some time.
What we find most impressive is how varied yet deliberate the inventory feels.
This is usually the sign of good buying and that’s what you’re looking at when you’re on this profile.
We won't be offended if you spend more time viewing this profile than you do ours.
It really is special.

The Modern House
The Modern House Instagram page is probably not a good place to spend an hour if you’re a first time buyer who has just broken your back to get your hands on a modest studio in a part of London you don't even like.
We say this because this page is filled with some of the most amazing residential spaces the UK has to offer.
Long story short, it may leave you wondering why you bothered.
For the rest of us, though, this profile offers a rare glimpse inside some of the nation’s best/ most iconic homes.
There’s an eclectic mix of properties on here but you’d be hard pushed to find one that you didn’t find arresting.
What’s more, they’re usually filled with some tremendous furniture. One home in particular looks like it was styled using items from our inventory.
If this profile leaves you hankering for more, we recommend you head to the site of this unique estate agents.
These guys clearly take content seriously and you can easily lose a couple of hours looking through the articles.
Impressive.

Dalston Haus
If you’re interested in design in any way, then there’s something for you in Dalston Haus.
Dalston Haus is the profile of homeware buyer and interior curator, Laura Keighley.
And during a visit to this page you can expect to be exposed to some captivating themes that you may never have encountered or considered before.
Long story short, this is a great place to head if you're feeling bereft of inspiration.
But there’s much more going on here than just interior design.
Expect some cracking examples of typography, graphic design, art and more from some of the world’s best cities.
There’s also something really satisfying about the use of colour throughout this profile.
We really enjoy the whole package and we expect that you will, too.

Bi-rite Studio
We’re always fascinated when someone takes a different approach to a similar conundrum to the one we are facing (in this case selling vintage furniture).
And this Brooklyn-based store does it really, very well.
If you’re a child of the 80’s, you’re likely to be overcome with a sense of nostalgia as you look through this page.
If you’re not, you’ll probably just feel overwhelmed by how fresh some of the inventory and the content looks in this day and age.
You’ll also see some really nice mid century furniture in there, too.
It’s tribute to the stylist(s), buyer(s) and/or curator(s) that it all looks so deliberate when placed side by side.
Fans of this page will also be pleased to know that a new e-commerce site is on its way.
Have a look. You won’t regret it.
